Many people enjoy adding new decorations to their tank after some time to create a new, refreshing feel and look. In addition, the decorations are not just for our viewing pleasure but also offer some hiding place (e.g. a cave) for the inhabitants just like what is being found in the nature to make them feel safe and secure.
Driftwoods
Driftwoods are most commonly used to create a natural look and environment. It is also often being used as an anchor for Java moss or other aquatic plants in the tank. Driftwood comes in different shape and sizes and thus designing your tank with driftwood allow your tank to be unique as there are no driftwood that resembles the same.
Ornaments

Gravel
Natural Gravel is used to create a natural sand bed like those found in the river and the ideal depth of the gravel bed should be at least 2 inches thick. It is also recommended to use darker color gravels, as light color gravel make your fishes appear less colorful but however, it is not an ironclad rule.
