PUMP
Pumps help to circulate water from the aquarium to the filter and back. Pumps in the form of powerhead/wavemaker creates water circulation within an aquarium, carrying detritus to the filter and also helping to prevent stagnant spots (also known as dead spots) in the tank.
Choosing a pump with the right flow-rate is essential for your aquarium. We’ve provided a general guide below for deciding how much flow is required.
- Freshwater Fishes : Tank Water Volume x 3
- Coldwater Fishes like Koi & Goldfish : Tank Water Volume x 5
- Marine Fishes : Tank Water Volume x 10
